Lately I have been pondering the nature and importance of Photography. Of course part of the equation is that we receive a good portion of our income from it. But sometimes it's easy to lose sight of the real value of Photography.
In my search to to better understand the human connection with photographs, I came across a fantastic article that claims that, for a child, participating in and regularly viewing a family portrait can actually boost self esteem and foster a sense of family and belonging. Naturally I am a firm believer of the
importance of documenting a family's history. I was intrigued by this article, which examines the importance of the family portrait from on often overlooked perspective... Your child's.
I have posted a link to the article below. Take a moment and check it out. It's a mighty fine read. Documenting Your family is important, Displaying those portraits in actual print is also important, perhaps for reasons you have never considered!
